The County of Brant, ON, was awarded $5,820 from the Green Shovels Collaborative’s Invasive Phragmites Control Fund to combat the invasive plant, Phragmites.

The County of Brant Fire Department will have a controlled burn this Saturday, November 4 at 1 Highway #2 in Falkland.
The controlled burn will be taking place at the barn on the property and will be an opportunity to train firefighters and officers. The training will focus on exposure protection, working with rural water supply and pump operations for the crews.

The County of Brant will be conducting routine maintenance work on the Sanitary Sewer System in the following areas:
Grand River Street North from William Street to Mechanic Street.
The work is scheduled to take place overnight on Thursday, November 2 to Friday, November 3 between the hours of 7:00 pm to 7:00am.

It is anticipated Garbage and Recycling in some areas of today’s collection will not get picked up by 5:00 pm today. Collection Crews are working diligently and are hopeful to complete collection today.
If your material has not been picked up by 8:00 pm tonight, please either leave your materials curbside overnight, or remove and place it back at curbside by 7:00 am tomorrow morning, and it will be collected by the end of day.
